Kardelen Candaş

Meet Kardelen Candaş, also known as Kardi, from Istanbul, Turkey, born in 1992. Kardelen’s academic journey took root at Bahçeşehir University, where she earned her degree in Environmental Engineering. After university, she began her career in the fast-paced world of public relations as a Brand Assistant at a PR agency. However, her passion for supporting young athletes led her to a new chapter in 2020 when she joined Play Sports Abroad (PSA) as an Admissions Counselor.

Kardelen’s role at PSA is multifaceted and impactful. She is responsible for guiding prospective student-athletes through the admissions paperwork, preparing them for interviews, and navigating the intricate NCAA and NAIA eligibility processes. Her expertise also extends to the USA F1 visa process, ensuring that students have the support they need to achieve their dreams of studying and competing in the United States. Additionally, Kardelen manages the company’s social media presence and conducts English proficiency interviews with prospective students.

Kardelen’s commitment to excellence is evident in her continued professional development. She holds several certifications, including NCAA Eligibility, Name, Image, and Likeness, Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention from NFHS, Athlete Marketing Essentials: NIL Certification from Front Office Sports, and Sports Marketing from Northwestern University.

When asked why she loves being part of the Play Sports Abroad team, Kardelen shares, “I thrive on helping athletes navigate complex processes, ensuring they can focus on what they do best—playing their sport and pursuing their education.”
